7/8 May
Practice weekend - We will have a weekend of practice in June, (7th,8th) Students have 3/4 months to do case studies and then take the exam in August

Over the 12 days we will learn a full body Thai Massage sequence looking at techniques in the 4 main positions; prone, supine, side and sitting. Thai massage helps to balance and align the body to encourage space and mobility in the joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments and improves the function of the fascial tissues and the internal organs. It is highly effective at releasing pain & addressing issues caused by injury, bad postural patterns, physical and emotional blockages.

Emphasis will be on developing a therapeutic and flowing treatment which includes both dynamic & mobilising techniques alongside more static, visceral and fascial techniques with acute focus on smooth and comfortable transitions between the the more active and passive methods. Special care and attention will be taken in teaching healthy and effective use of the body whilst giving the massage, to ensure correct and sustainable body-mechanics during practice, we will also teach a simple daily Yoga practice, self-care exercises and a basic preparatory 'Wai Khru' (Thai Buddhist Chant) for the practitioner.
